As a kid growing up I remember Ma cooking meals, making soups and chowder, and baking. Dinner was every night during the week and a big lunch on Sundays. We're talking real meals: meat, potatoes, and vegetables. We never, to my recollection, had frozen meals... never instant potatoes. As an adult we went to Ma and Dad's every Christmas Eve for dinner: Roast Beef, Ragout, and all the fixings. New Year's day it was French Meat Pie and Baked Beans, and let's not forget all those cookouts over the years! When we got older and us kids started doing Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, etc. Ma brought desserts. She was truly happy when feeding those she loved (and any guests we wanted to bring were always made to feel at home!). Ma passed on November 10, 2007 and we miss her dearly, .
