American Chop Suey

Ma Cusson Kitchen, Pasta

Ingredients

1/2 medium onion, chopped

1/2 tsp fresh garlic

1/2 cup diced bell pepper

1 lb hamburger

1 small can (8 oz) stewed tomatoes

1 small can chopped or whole tomatoes

1 small can hunt's tomato paste

2 stalks celery, cliced/chopped

1 1/2 cans water

1 lb macaroni

Directions

Spray pan with Pam
Brown onions and garlic, until soft
Add hamburger and bell pepper, cook until hamburger is browned
Add canned ingredients, celery and simmer slowly for 15-30 minutes. If too thick, add water.
Combine meat sauce with cooked macaroni
Serve hot

Notes

I think it should be 1 can of stewed, chopped, or whole tomatoes, not 2 (1 stewed and 1 chopped or whole)

Also, I'm pretty sure the bell pepper was added after the fact. I don't recall my mother cooking with bell peppers at all.
