1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar (1 cup if using tart apples)
4 McIntosh apples
4 Cortland apples
1 box pie crust (2 crusts)
Line bottom of 9" pie plate with a pie crust
Slice apples into plate until it is heaped over the top
Mix the cinnamon, flour into the sugar pour this over the top
Dot the top with pieces of butter.
Cover with the other pie crust, crimp the crusts together and cut excess from around pie plate
Cut 3 slices into top crust, bake at 375F for 45 minutes.
Let rest for 20 minutes before cutting.
