Pastry
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sifted flour
4 eggs
Filling
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 beaten eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Pastry
Hear to a boiling point in a pan the water and butter
Stir in sifted flour
Stir until mixture leaves the sides of the pan and forms a ball (about 1 minute)
Remove from heat and let cool
Beat in, 1 at a time, 4 eggs
Beat until smooth
Spoon on to an ungreased cookie sheet
Bake in oven at 400 F for 30 minutes
Filling
Mix in sauce pan sugar, salt, flour
Stir in milk, bring to a boil and remove from heat
Stir a little of this mixture into 2 beaten egs
Blend into hot mixture in sauce pan and bring to a boil
Blend in vanilla
Split pastry and fill with the filling
Frost with chocolate frosting
